The Golden Triangle Septic Loan Program is designed to help low income rural homeowners construct, repair, or upgrade household septic systems. The funding is provided through USDA Rural Development’s Household Septic System grant program.  

The Household Septic System Grant program complements environmental initiatives and provides support for rural residents.

USDA Rural Development’s mission is to increase economic opportunity and improve the quality of life for rural residents. Individuals may be eligible for loans if their annual household income does not exceed 60 percent of their state or territory’s median non-metropolitan income.

Before filling out online application, please ensure you have the following documents:

  • Latest 3 copies of all sources of income,

  • Latest 3 copies of household expenses,

  • Copy of Deed of Trust or Certificate of Title (proof of ownership),

  • Verification of employment / verification of benefits,

  • Copy of last year’s tax return (if not applicable, a signed letter from applicant explaining why)

  • 2 bid requests from licensed septic system providers,

  • And verification of Health Department Inspection

It is the applicant’s responsibility to retrieve this information. All additional documents are required to process your application. An application missing any of these documents will be considered incomplete.
